Raw Materials

We use Mahogany and Teak wood. All of our Timbers are from plantations.
The reason we like to use plantation timbers are that we have commitment to the environment and also plantation timber is more suited to furniture production as it is slower growing so therefore the fibers are tighter and stronger resulting in a finished product that is less prone to cracking, shrinking and cupping.

Our timber seasoning process has been inherited from the old system of seasoning timber that is used in Tasmania, Australia, IE : the slower the process the more stability the planks will have.

Our glass is of the best quality, all being beveled in an accurate fashion resulting in a truly symmetrical finished product.

The fabrics that we use in our upholstery department are very carefully chosen to ensure that fault lines etc are not apparent.

All of our products at the raw stage are treated with an environmentally safe product to ensure that wood eating bugs are not attracted to the end product.
